Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.97% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 3.74% or 39.80 points to trade at 1,104.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CSE:GMAB) added 1.91% or 52.00 points to end at 2,769.00 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 1.35% or 190.00 points to 14,230.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 3.20% or 20.00 points to trade at 605.00 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 0.97% or 1.65 points to end at 168.00 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 0.94% or 1.55 points to 162.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 78 to 64 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.64% or 0.48 to $74.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.65% or 0.52 to hit $78.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 8.45 to trade at $1,972.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.54% to 6.69, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 100.53.
