Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media&Publishing, Agriculture&Food and Hotels&Tourism sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.68% to hit a new 6-months high.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030), which rose 9.97% or 1.22 points to trade at 13.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Alinma Bank (TADAWUL:1150) added 8.46% or 3.10 points to end at 39.75 and Saudi Research and Marketing Group (TADAWUL:4210) was up 5.04% or 8.60 points to 179.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alkhaleej Training&Education Co (TADAWUL:4290), which fell 3.38% or 0.70 points to trade at 20.00 at the close. Al Aseel Co Ltd (TADAWUL:4012) declined 3.30% or 0.18 points to end at 5.28 and Sadr Logistics Co (TADAWUL:1832) was down 3.16% or 0.12 points to 3.68.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 133 to 132 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.97% or 1.22 to 13.46. Shares in Alinma Bank (TADAWUL:1150) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.46% or 3.10 to 39.75.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.08% or 0.06 to $78.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $82.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 1.45 to trade at $1,960.75 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.26% to 4.14, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 101.24.
